    Stunning view with direct beach access. Live music in the evening. Waitresses are friendly, professional, and attentive. We ordered (off menu) li hing mui margaritas. Along with korean sticky ribs (a bit on the dry side), teriyaki chicken with kalbi. This is a must try dish. The chicken thigh was boneless, tender, flavorful, and the highlight of our meal. The kalbi was flavorful, tender, and charred to perfection. The kim chee lacked flavor and the macaroni noodles were undercooked. The jasmine rice (long grain) had the consistency of calrose sticky (medium grain) rice. Come for the view stay for the food.

    Please take me back to the Duke's in Kauai ASAP!!! Love love this island restaurant with such a laid back atmosphere. My favorite is their bbq chicken and short ribs rice plate and their Mai Tai is so amazing!! Lastly don't skip the hula pie!!!

    Dukes is an absolute must go to restaurant on Kauai. We've been here multiple times on previous visits. The food and view are amazing. We went 3 times on our vacation. We tend to order ahi tuna a lot and Dukes was the clear winner out of anywhere on the island. Ordered this twice. Cooked perfectly rare like it should be. I also tried the macadamia crusted local fish which was excellent. Appetizers on point as well. Excellent mai tais. Expensive, but you're in Kauai... splurge a little. Service is fantastic. I don't recommend the downstairs bar area. I could hear the chef down there yelling at the servers for whatever reasons. Stick with upstairs where you have the most beautiful views inside and out. Oh, and don't forget to get a hula pie for dessert. Unreal.

    We came to Duke's for dinner Friday the 28th our 1st night on vacation in Kauai. This place is walking distance from our hotel at the Royal Sonesta. We were luckily able to get a table right away & we're at the side of the outdoor seating with a great ocean view. The fish of the day was ono, they had it macadamia crusted and my wife & myself both got it, it was excellent. We also started with an ahi tuna & calamari apps. The calamari was like little steak sticks, breaded a bit differently. I liked this style compared to the rings/tentacles you get at most spots when serving calamari. Tuna was tender and flavorful, really good. We got the hula pie, but the different style one that had I've ice cream. Perfect for 4 of us to share.
